Paramount Skydance Set to Cut Around 2,000 United States Roles – Report
Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 positions in the United States as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are anticipated, with the company planning to disclose all specifics during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Prior news had indicated that Paramount aimed to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 roles by early November.
As of December 2024, the company retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 temporary project employees.
Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
