The US attorney for the eastern district of Virginia personally presented the charges before the judicial panel this Thursday, the person said.

This action is the president’s latest effort to weaponize the Department of Justice to penalize opponents.
This occurs a fortnight after charges were filed against James Comey.
Experienced attorneys prepared a memo regarding that situation explaining the reasons charges lacked merit.
Comey denied the charges on Wednesday.
